Cancellation and Postponement

If you cancel or postpone your assessment 5 working days or fewer before the agreed date you will be charged the full amount for the assessment.

Travel Expenses

Travel expenses may be applicable for applicants based in the Republic of Ireland, please contact us prior to submitting your application.

Annual Fees

The full fees are required to be paid annually to maintain registration to the MCS. Installers should complete a new application form each year and send to Action Renewables accompanied by the appropriate fee.

Notes:

Fees are payable upon application.
The registration fee is not refundable.
Mileage is included in the registration fee for Northern Ireland however ROI customers may incur an additional charge, please contact the Scheme Administrator for more information.
If a reassessment is required for example to close out major non-conformances, an additional fee of £300 is payable to Action Renewables.

Total cost for a company installing Solar Water Heating�systems�only (New registration):
£695 (registration fee) +£300 (office assessment fee)+ £300 (technical assessment fee)+ £110 (Gemserv fee) = £1405 (+ VAT @ 20%).
Total cost for a company installing Solar Water Heating systems and Wind Turbines (New registration):
£695 (registration fee) +£300 (office assessment fee + £300 (technical assessment fee)+ £300 (for additional technology) + £110 (Gemserv fee) = £1705 (+ VAT @ 20%).
Total cost for a company installing Solar Water Heating systems and Wind Turbines (Renewal):
£350 (registration fee) + £300 (office assessment fee) + £300 (technical assessment fee) + £300 (for additional technology) + £110 (Gemserv fee) = £1405 (+ VAT @ 20%).
